WELL Health Technologies

World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, observed annually on May 21, is a United Nations-sanctioned international holiday. This day aims to promote the importance of cultural diversity and the need for dialogue and development in fostering peace, stability, and sustainable development. It serves as a reminder of the value of different cultures and the role they play in enriching societies worldwide.

Celebrating Diversity at WELL

On May 21, 2024, WELL Health celebrated World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development around the company, with various WELL teams from our Headquarters, OceanMD, DoctorCare, Kerrisdale, and Thornhill hosting vibrant potlucks to showcase diversity. Team members brought dishes from their home countries, creating a rich variety of flavours and culinary traditions. Everyone had the opportunity to share the story behind their dish, explaining how it represents their culture and heritage. This celebration not only allowed us to enjoy a wide variety of delicious foods but also created a deeper understanding and appreciation of the cultural backgrounds that make our teams unique. The potlucks were a resounding success, reinforcing our commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

WELL Cares

By celebrating this day, WELL acknowledges the contributions of different cultures to our community and highlight the importance of cultural exchange. It is a call to action for people to learn about and appreciate the traditions, languages, and histories of others. Through this understanding, we continue on our journey towards making WELL a healthy place to work.

Furthermore, we would like to thank our People and Culture team for organizing these amazing events, and our team members for participating, bringing their delicious food, and sharing their stories with everyone else!
